In addition to the Corps' scheduled events, two Korean War MRS units, the 712th Transportation Railway Operating Battalion and the 765th Transportation Railway Shop Battalion, will be holding reunions in late August and early September.  They both extend an invitation to other MRS veterans and all interested in this component of TC history to come join them for some or all of their planned events.  I personally have attended several of these MRS reunions and have come away with a much greater appreciation of what the MRS Veterans of those units experiences and contributed in the service of our country.  I assure you that you will come away finding the trip was well worth the time and effort.

The 712th Transportation Railway Operating Battalion (TROB) yearly reunion that will be taking place in Nashville, TN. Arrival is scheduled for Friday, August 29th.  The reunion will begin on Saturday morning, August 30th and conclude with a banquet on Monday evening, Sept. 1st.  Departure will be on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd.  This year, due to the age of the members of our group, we are changing things up a bit.  My dad is 84, having served in Korea, and most of the rest are about the same.  I think the youngest member is 80. We are holding a "military muster" hosted by the 712th T.R.O.B.  It is open to any veteran who would like to attend.  We encourage younger veterans, (Cold War, Viet Nam, and newer), who may never have had a reunion or attended one of their own groups' reunion.

Like the 712th TROB, they extend an invitation to all veterans and those interested in military railway history to join them and share their reunion.  For further information contact:
